SitSmart wins prestigious West Kent business award

SitSmart, with its parent company TEK Seating, has won Best Growing Business at the inaugural West Kent Business Excellence Awards held last week at the Spa Hotel in Tonbridge Wells, Kent.

The Courier Media Group awards, held in association with the West Kent Chamber of Commerce, proved a very popular event as the packed venue was attended by business people and professionals from throughout West Kent, as well as local dignitaries.

A champagne reception and three-course meal preceded the glittering awards ceremony where Managing Director of TEK Seating Paul Fleming accepted the trophy and a bottle of champagne in front of an enthusiatic audience.

Paul commented, “I am delighted to have won this award for Best Growing Business. Both TEK and SitSmart have far exceeded our expectations over the last 18 months and we are fortunate that business has been going from strength to strength. It’s fantastic, not just for myself, but for all my staff that their hard work and loyalty has been acknowledged in this way."

Organiser of the awards and the evening's host, Alan Pocock, said he was delighted with how the event had gone: "In the midst of so much doom and gloom, it was wonderful to celebrate business in West Kent and shout about the achievements. It was a great night – many congratulations to TEK Seating and SitSmart."
